Australian Development Scholarships.
ADS provide partner countries with the opportunity to strengthen its human resource capacity through offering scholarships to individuals within key institutions, to undertake tertiary studies in Australia in areas relevant to the development needs of the country.
Objectives
Australian Development Scholarships aim to contribute to long-term development needs of Australia`s partner countries to promote good governance, economic growth and human development.
General Eligibility
1) Be a citizen of an ADS participating country [refer to their website for the list]
2) Not hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent resident status (unless you are applying as a citizen of the Cook Islands, Niue and Tokelau)
3) Not be married to/or be a defacto of, or engaged to be married to, a person who holds or is eligible to hold an Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent resident status
4) Not hold or have held an Australian government funded scholarship in the preceding 12 months at the time of application
5) Not already be studying at an Australian institution at the time of application
6) Satisfy the admission requirements of the Institution at which the ADS is to be undertaken
7) For undergraduate courses, have completed high school in their country of citizenship
8) For postgraduate courses, have been resident and/or working in their country of citizenship prior to the date of their ADS application.
