ALTA Scholarship.
The Academic Language Therapy Association® (ALTA) is a non-profit national professional organization incorporated in 1986 for the purpose of establishing, maintaining, and promoting standards of education, practice and professional conduct for Certified Academic Language Therapists. Academic Language Therapy is an educational, structured, comprehensive, phonetic, multisensory approach for the remediation of dyslexia and/or written-language disorders.
The scholarship
The Academic Language Therapy Association Centers Council will award three $100 scholarships to trainees interested in enrolling in Introductory or Advanced Courses offered by ALTA Affiliated and Accredited Centers.
Procedure
1) Scholarship applicants must complete a one-page application.
2) Submit two letters of recommendation, and write a brief description about how the training will be utilized.
3) All applications must be received by ALTA headquarters no later than May 1st of the current calendar year.
Announcement
Scholarship recipients will be announced in May of each calendar year.
