The RC of Norway International Scholarship Section (IS)

The International Scholarship Section (IS) promotes international research cooperation and the mobility of advanced students, researchers and artists between Norway and a whole range of other countries. We manage the exchange of students and researchers within the framework of bilateral cultural agreements, scholarship programmes and networking programmes for mobility and research cooperation.

The Scholarships

Norwegian Goverment sholarships.

Scholarships for a duration of one to ten months at a Norwegian institution for foreign advanced students and younger researchers.



China, Egypt and India - specialist exchange and government scholarships.

In addition, the Norwegian Government yearly offers quotas of scholarships for up to one academic year to nationals of China, Egypt and India.



Scholarships to Summer Schools at the Universities of Oslo or Bergen.

You can also apply for summer scholarships to the International Summer Schools of the Universities of Oslo and Bergen.
