ISM Scholarship Programme.

The International School Moshi (ISM) scholarship programme is an exciting new development that confirms ISM’s commitment to the wider community. The scholarship is aimed at students in selected Government Secondary Schools in the Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions.

Overview

It is targeted at Form 4 leavers in government secondary schools who will join the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme at ISM.

The scholarship is aimed at students who would not normally have the opportunity to be part of an international school like ISM.

The administration of ISM works closely with the Head of the relevant Government schools. The Heads are briefed on the nature of the IB programme and are encouraged to visit ISM.

The Heads then supply the names of students who they feel are suitable for the scholarship based on criteria given by ISM.

Selection Criteria

1) The selection criteria are based on the students` national examination results and their school reports.

2) The students’ contribution to school life is also very important and their nomination must be supported by a recommendation from their Head.

3) All students then sit exams in English and Mathematics to further test their academic ability.

4) From these exams and the information passed on by the Heads, five or six candidates from each school are called for a visit and interview at ISM. 5) Two students are then selected as the scholarship students.

Please note that even the closing date is expired the scholarship provider my still giving you the opportunity for the next years to come.
